Born and raised in the Philippines, Robin Tomas moved to New York to study fashion design at Parsons School of Design in 2001. While in school, he interned for designers Anna Sui and Valentino. After graduating, he worked for Gap designing for its stores in Japan and Europe.
In 2009, Robin debuted his first collection under his own label, TOMAS, during Fashion Week in Manila. In 2010, he won the Supima Design Award in New York for his design of the ‘re-invention of the classic T-shirt’, which was sold at Bloomingdales.
In 2011, Robin launched his first collection of women’s separates during NYC Fashion’s Night Out at Anik Boutique on Madison Avenue. He currently designs TOMAS in New York.
